1 in 4 people are hungry in LA.

Before the pandemic, it was estimated that 1 in 5 residents of LA County were going hungry each day. Now, the post-Covid reality is that it’s more like 1 in 4 people who are facing food insecurity daily.

That is 2 million people. Hungry. Every day.

The People’s Market is one of our newest programs at New Earth. Born a year ago out of our need to pivot to meet the needs that our members, their families, and our communities were experiencing - so they did not go hungry.

We continue to work hard to ease the hunger in our communities by providing fresh produce and pantry staples free of charge.

Your love for humanity is what helped us through the last 12 months. We were able to impact hundreds of families by distributing groceries to them every week, thanks to your generosity.

Since our inception, the People’s Market has served more than 6,100 people, with an average of 700 people per week. We have given away over 200,000 pounds of produce.

Now, we need to raise $50,000 to continue this work. Donate today so that we can continue to feed our community! $1 or $1,000 – every amount is a step closer to our goal.

Each one of our community members has a story - whether young or old; newly struggling to make ends meet or longtime sufferers from economic insecurity; unemployed, under-employed, or simply crushed under the weight of LA’s high cost of living.

Help us feed our families!

We are incredibly appreciative of your continued support and generosity!
